What Would I Wear - New Year

I wanted to create four looks that would be New Years appropriate, I also threw in two looks that would be my dream to wear. But you could recreate them as well as all the others if you wanted.

I wanted to make a classic look but with certain key staples, this look would be great to bring in the New Year it has all the classics red lip, cat eye, black pump. But what draws your attention is the detail in the dress and the handbag, which will make sure you shine all night.

I love dressing up for new years but I tend to go for the casual side most of the time, which is why I chose to make a look with pants, flats and a nice top. I like to e comfortable and be able to not have to worry about anything so this is a good option when your going to a party with family or friends and want to be festive but comfortable which can still look good.

These shoes and handbag have been on my radar all year so I had to create a look specifically for them. They are all by Valentino and they are just gorgeous I added the rockstud flats as well as the rockstud slingback pumps, which are both so gorgeous. The accessories are simple as well as the nail color because the shoes and handbag are stars of the show on this look.

Now this is my new years movie look, I feel like an actress could possibly wear this look in a movie role the dress is a vibrant red with the perfect touch of lace the shoes don’t take away from the dress but complement it perfectly as well as standing. The nails are pretty but don’t distract from the dress, and for the lips I chose a Sephora lip butter as to not clash with the dress and a perfect smokey eye to pull everything together as well as gorgeous earrings to frame the face.

Details Makes An Outfit

There is nothing better than finding a great outfit, when I go shopping I tend to pick clothes that have something special and that can be combined with other clothes easily. My older sister Rebekah has always had leather jackets in her wardrobe she was thirteen and bought her first leather jacket while I was still wearing Disney characters on my shirts.

The first photo reminds me a lot of her style because she has always had an edge to her style and the leather jacket with the feminine skirt add that certain edge. Studs are everywhere, but for those that are wanting to try studs out without having to purchase something completely studded this blouse is perfect for that because of the stud detailing on the hem of the sleeves also that knit sweater plus the blouse are a perfect combination. Sequence is my weakness I love it and will purchase pretty much anything that has sequence and the sequenced sleeves on the black top adds just the right touch of chicness. Peplum tops have been catching my eye and are on my next shopping trip list they are feminine and can be worn up or down a fine example of a casual peplum top is in the fourth photo where they are worn with distressed jeans I just love that while outfit. I am not one to shy away from color, when I was in elementary school you would be able to find me in the field instantly because I had neon colors every day of the week. This orange skirt adds just the right amount of color, and by paring the orange skirt with a darker green top the skirt isn’t competing for attention and it adds the focus to the gorgeous details of the skirt . 

Dress Inspiration

For me choosing a dress is simple to do I like dresses that have feminine look or if the color calls my attention I will more than likely buy it. When I am not able to find a dress, the next thing I turn to is a skirt skirts can be versatile because you can wear them with different blouses and the look can have a different look.

These inspiration looks are perfect and have a simple sophisticated look. I like these styles because they still are flattering to the figure and the colors are gorgeous. 

What I Would Wear

Its fall in California and we still have lovely weather, but I do wish that I could start using my fall clothes and I would love to add these looks to my closet.\
